Please carefully read the pre-care instructions to ensure you are ready for your upcoming appointment.
To prepare for your Ombre Brows, I want to ensure you have Gorjuss results by giving you some tips leading up to your initial session.
90 days before your session: Please avoid Botox, skin exfoliants, laser peels, & chemical peels.
1 week prior to your session: Please avoid threading, waxing, shaving, plucking, tweezing around the treatment area. Also, do not use retinol or any dyes in the area.
3 Days Before Your Session: Avoid ALL BLOOD THINNERS. This includes, caffeine (coffee, tea, soda, drinking alcohol, smoking, painkillers, turmeric, ginger, cayenne pepper, Vitamin E, garlic, cassia cinnamon, grape seed extract, and feverfew.
Menstrual Cycle: If you are about to start, currently on, or just finished your cycle, sensitivity is increased and bleeding is more likely to occur during the procedure due to hormones in your body.
To Maximize Your Results:
Please be sure to drink plenty of water leading up to your appointment to ensure your skin is prepped and very hydrated.

Ombre Brows -
Aftercare
-
Wash your hands before tending to your brows.
-
Wash your brows every morning and every night with the cleansing soap provided to you. Pat your brows dry gently using a paper towel.
-
Use a light coat of the ointment provided to you after washing your brows and if they get itchy.
-
Try not to get your brows wet in the shower unless you are cleansing them in the shower. Do not allow any of your face wash or shampoo touch the treated area.
-
Continue these aftercare steps until all scabbing is off. Do not pick or rub scabs.
Your brows will get darker for the next few days, then they will begin to slightly crack and shed. When the shedding comes off, your brows will get very light- DO NOT WORRY, it’s temporary. Trust the healing process, because the color coms back. It takes up to 6 weeks for the brows to fully heal.
TRUST THE HEALING PROCESS:
-
Everyone’s healing process will vary based on skin health.
-
Healing takes 10-14 days. After they shed, they will appear lighter. Expect to lose approximately 1/3rd of the initial color during healing.
-
After the initial two weeks of healing, the color will begin to darken by the day and show its true color on the 6th week. They will still appear soft during week 6.
-
Day 1 brows are 20-25% darker by nightfall.
-
Days 2-5 brows appear darker due to scabbing process.
-
Days 5-7 brows begin to shed.
-
Days 7-14 Shedding completes and brows will appear lighter.
-
AVOIDANCES:
-
Do not work out for two weeks. Sun exposure, sweating, swimming pools, saunas and steam rooms can severely affect the healing process and final result of your brows.
-
Stay out of sun 24 hours after session. Please wear a hat if you absolutely must be outdoors.
-
DO NOT sleep on your sides until your brows have fully shed. Sleeping on your side will cause your brows to rub off too early, resulting in brows healing blurry and the ink being prematurely removed.
-
When the brows start to flake and peel, do not pick or pull on the skin as it will result in patchy brows and the color will be missing from that spot in your brow.
AFTER HEALING:
-
Avoid Retin-A, moisturizer, glycolic acid, exfoliants, and anti-aging products at all times on tattooed areas. These can cause pigments to fade and lighten prematurely.
-
Avoid tanning beds.
-
If in direct sun, you must apply sun block on brows.
EXPECTATIONS:
Everyone’s skin is different, therefore the initial application is always applied conservatively. The healed color of your first session can be adjusted.
-
A SECOND SESSION IS REQUIRED at approximately 8 weeks from your initial session to ensure the longevity and the best results of your eyebrows.
-
The second session is better known as the “PERFECTION SESSION” as we will examine the healed color of the pigment used, the length and the shape of the brow. You will say if you love it as is, or want to tweak the tails, fronts or thickness. If you love them as is, we will just go in with more pigment, adding depth in color to them to elongate the time they last over the next 2 to 3 years.
Though rare, infection is possible if aftercare is not handled correctly with caution. If you see signs of infection such as persistent increased redness or swelling, fever, draining, or oozing, contact your doctor immediately.
